forget the oil....is there enough slack on the cable?..if there isn't then that can also make it slip...if there is play/slack on the cable then you'll have to strip it again and double check...when it apart get some 300grade wet/dry sand paper and roughen up the metal clutch plates...it may also pay to space the clutch springs with a washer on each...this will tighten the springs up slightly....hope this helps.
