Yes that is a temporary receipt showing proof you have valid registration which you can take to court with you. That is temporary until the real registration comes in the mail. If it comes in the mail before the court date, regardless you still have proof of a valid current registration. You don't need a parent with you since you have a valid drivers liscense. Just give yourself plenty of time to get in there on time. Don't plead not guilty. Then you will have to try your case and will be a waste of time because your guilty anyway. No harm will be done. A lot of times if you go to court your fine will be dropped down more. Or sometimes the officer will not show up and the charge will be dismissed, no fine and won't have to worry about it. Don't worry that is nothing oh and your registration was looked up by your liscense plate tag ID that is how officers run your info and can know what is current and not current on your record.
