Why do some politicians refuse to tell the truth about the Arizona immigration law?

Politicians lie to promote their agenda. Look at Congressman Luis Gutierrez who is a bigot. He supports illegal aliens. I think illegal aliens and their home countries should compensate the US for the cost of encarcerating illegals and for the damage they inflict on the US. They should be deported immediately and the bill sent to their home countries.
